Exactly what I was looking for. We will be using this on our 3 week trip in New Zealand to keep items safe while we hike and travel around. Looks and feels like a book but when you open the cover the metal lock box is inside. its large enough to hold whatever we might need to. Defiantly larger inside then I expected (our electronics travel storage pouch just to show how big it really is inside). Very pleased and happy with this one, will use for years to come!

The quality isn’t the best. It’s a neat gimmick. But at the end of the day you could crack this open with a knife. However, I don’t think the main part of this is the safe function, it’s the fact your items would be safe on the shelf as no one would guess your valuables are there. Honestly, this is mainly a good thing for kids. The actual cover, isn’t great it can fall off easily if dropped. It’s cardboard so be careful. The actual safe is some type of tin. It’s alright, storage space is decent.

This is the second book safe I've bought as a gift, both for hard to buy for older grandsons.It's a great way to give them money too. Just tuck it inside the safe! It's also made well.It would make a nice graduation gift too!

I have found the this book. Secret box is wonderful for my niece. I'm a mom of young children with allergies. So I use it to hide my secret stash of chocolate in my bookshelf where they are safe from little stealing hands.You might ask yourself. Is it really necessary? It absolutely is!! My daughter has way of finding every scrap of food in any corner of the house. She is mischievous and too smart for my own good. The fake book safe box has allowed me to enjoy my chocolate in peace once they've gone to sleep.Now if you want to know about the box itself, it's easy to use. It's sturdy and personally I don't use the key cuz it's just a hiding spot. It blends really well with the rest of my books and it's very unattractive for little 3-year-olds.So if you're a mom of toddler looking for somewhere to hide your favorite chocolates where they can't steal, then definitely get it. Now if you want to hide anything else, I don't know what to tell you. I guess it would work mostly for uneducated robbers.

The item itself is very useful as it does not look like a small lock box. The problem with this item is it comes apart And constantly has to be re-glued.

Very handy to put money or keepsakes in. I put it in my bookcase and it looks just like every other book. Great purchase.
