6.5 - 7 mm and 32" Not true size but still a great buy. Doubles nicely. KInks can be smoothed out.
I compared this strand to my 7 mm, 30" Mikimoto strand - not a fair comparison to be sure but I ordered this 32" length and 6.5 - 7 mm size for my niece because I love the size and length of my Mikimotos.First off, there will be a couple of kinks in the strand - this is due to the knotting and can be smoothed out by holding one end of the strand in one hand and simply running your very clean fingers or a clean soft cloth along the length of the pearls while applying some downward pressure.Once I stretched out this "32" inch strand I measured it with a yardstick while holding it tautly. It measures 30 and 1/2 " from pearl to pearl and 31 and 1/8" including the clasp (only on one side as the other side of the clasp will lock inside when worn and not add to the length). So, it's not quite 32". I also measured my 30" Mikimoto strand and was surprised that it measured 31 and 7/8" pearl to pearl and 32 and 1/2" with the clasp. The pearls on this 6.5 - 7mm necklace appear to be about 2/3 the size of the 7mm Mikimoto pearls but are still a decent size. I don't know how to measure so this is just my opinion as I look at them. These are freshwater pearls so they are not perfectly round and that is as expected. The shape is still pleasing and mostly round. There are no odd ones that detract from the look. The color and luster is very nice.Recommendation: Even though these pearls are a bit smaller and shorter than expected, they are lovely and I will buy them again. They can be doubled nicely as a choker or worn as a single long strand. The only reason I did not give this necklace a 5 is because of size difference but the value is outstanding!

Great strand of pearls for the money, I would buy again for gift
I was very pleased with this purchase. I have other more expensive ones but wanted the longer lengths. They would make a nice gift also ! What girl does not need a strand of pearls 😊

Very nice
I ordered 6 strands of these pearls.2 - 16" for my flower girls2 - 18" for bridesmaids2 - 20" for bridesmaids (plus size)All of the strands match nicely in color. I ordered a smaller size pearl for the flower girls (5.5mm) and they are a nice scale in comparison to the 18" and 20" that I ordered for the adults.I love that Amazon offers all three sizes because I needed 18" for 2 bridesmaids, 20" for 2 plus size bridesmaids and 16" for the little flower girls. These are good quality, with nice fish hook clasps. I've seen reviews with people saying they're hard to open, but if you've owned a decent pair of pearls in the past, this is the type of closure they are made with. Nothing out of the ordinary. The strands are knotted between each pearl which was something I was looking for and willing to pay a little more to receive. Some of the less expensive pearls do not knot betweeen each pearl. The one issue I have is that they are strung a little too tightly. Luckily, I have a few months before the wedding and the pearls are hanging up to unkink right now. I'm sure they'll be fine by the time they need to be worn. A couple of the smaller strands just didn't lay flat right away, but as they're worn I'm sure they'll become looser.Overall a great purchase and I would recommend all three sizes.

Good enough to fool just about anyone
When my ex-husband was a little boy, he gave his mother a string of pearls for Mother's Day. On my wedding day, she gave them to me. When my son decided to marry Ichiban (which the family calls her since we knew at the time she would only be Wife #1), I didn't want to pass along the family heirloom because I knew this marriage wouldn't last. But my son wanted me to display some dramatic sort of acceptance of the brat. So I bought this item, packaged it up with a picture of the real pearls being placed on my neck on my wedding day, and gave these to her as a bridal shower gift.About now you probably think I'm a horrible human being, right? Well, think what you will, but Mom's Crystal Ball can see into the future. Here we are, only 18 months later, and - you betcha - she has cheated on him, broken his heart, and taken everything that was hers and half of what was his. He's lost his wife, the babies he thought they'd have by now, his dreams, his ability to trust anyone, his job, and the ability to open the business he was starting when she got busted bringing her three (3!) boyfriends to the house he just bought her, which he now has to sell after only five months. I only wish I could see the look on her face when she goes to pawn the pearls and finds out she's been hoodwinked!PS - This necklace looks like the real thing.

Very decent... for the price.
I got these on one of amazon's post Black Friday lightning deals; they were meant as a little gift, for my niece. At first glance, they're really very nice, and look far more expensive than they actually are. Under closer scrutiny, though, you can see the lines under the nacre, which is quite indicative of their cultured origins. No matter, since most pearl jewelery these days use cultured pearls. The length of 16" is sufficient for my niece, who happens to be 12, and stands at a petite 4' 9"; they may still be suitable for a petite grown woman, but a couple more inches wouldn't be amiss here...My big gripe with these, however, is with the clasp.I'd like to think that I'm not a dumb person; part of my job involves genetically modifying microorganisms to produce proteins that fold differently. I can visualize how proteins fold, which is supposed to be quite difficult, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to open the blasted clasp. My niece figured it out, though, so it's all good. Only took her a night and half the next day, too, so I'm not feeling too bad about myself. I only spent half an hour before giving up.Overall, these are an excellent buy for the money. I was impressed with the luster, and while I was expecting misshapen potato lumps, these are actually quite round, possibly due to the process. Four stars!

Great value, excellent presentation, solid clasp
Lovely item. Almost exactly what I was looking for! A short pearl choker with a solid clasp, if pearls had been rounder rather than oblong it would have been perfect (thus the 4 star rating but would have put 4.5 if Amazon allowed it). It also comes in a gorgeous box if it's a gift. Overall, it's a great deal and I would absolutely purchase it again!

the right size and perfect length. They were delivered on the exact date ...
Those pearls were exactly what I was looking for, the right size and perfect length. They were delivered on the exact date quoted to me and I am thrilled with them. I can't figure out why some customers had a problem with the clasp, as it so easy - just put the hook in the little slot and push it in gently until it locks; just can't come off or break if done carefully. Thank you for my lovely pearls, I am hoping to get a lot of wear out of them! Oh, and one more thing, the price was very reasonable! Marie E

Disappointing even for the price
Pearls are misshapen, and maligned. The necklace does not sit straight and is crooked. The necklace is also way too small for an adult woman. It's barely 15inches with the clasps making it a Pearl choker. Fail.

Muy buena opción de regalo
Fue un regalo para mi madre y quedó encantada, muy buena compra, tiene color rosado y el seguro es de 2 pasos así que es muy seguro para que no se suelte por accidente

The overall quality of this necklace is very nice, the pearls are evenly sized and the clasp is well made. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the necklace drapes a bit "wrinkled", in the sense that it is not a smooth circle.
