Great value.
This petite hammer is not worth the money I paid for it. It is worth considerably more. I bought this for adjusting the depth and cant of the irons on wooden planes. That job requires finesse rather than force. With the brass tip on one end for striking the iron and the rubber tip on the other for striking the wooden body, it is perfect for the job. And is still has the non sparking copper tip as well as plastic and nylon tips should I need them elsewhere. I have seen plane hammers selling for as much as $150. This hammer doesn't meet the same levels of craftsmanship, nor was I asked to pay for that. It is inexpensively made, yet entirely adequate for the job. Highly recommend.

interchangeable heads } excuse one finger typing {
This is a good hammer to have. It is is an "in between" hammer and 5 hammers in one. I work on guns and watches. It is capable of dealing the "heavier" blows need for guns and yet capable of being used to make the "intermediate" taps needed for watches. If you only do light things like watches you will need another VERY LIGHT HAMMER. To me the interchangeable heads is the best feature of this hammer, it allows the use of softer / non Mar materials which can be replaced when worn. When using the more brittle heads protective eye wear should be used. I haven't put a lot of miles on this hammer, but I know others who have. And unless you do extremely light work this hammer should last a very long time and be the only hammer you will need.

Great Armory Hammer
I got this hammer to add to my armory/gunsmiths tool set and its a perfect product for it. It was pretty cheap for the included interchangeable head system so in that regard it cannot be beat. This is not really meant for nails or other heavier items of that nature. This is more of a finesse system. Like others have said, if you run into problems with the screw, pliers and super glue solve it. I took the precaution to treat the heads with some super glue before the fact. Actually I used loctite but its the same thing really in the end. If you regularly do your own gun work and need to hit pins, punch roll pins, or tap sights or other accessories on your weapon systems this would be a great addition. It would be cool to have an organizational system of some sort but I solved that by just using a zip lock bag for the extra heads.

Hammer is good quality. Set consists of standard sized inserts.

Perfect for tapping big chucks onto Morse tapers as long as you use the copper and brass heads for mass.

A very good hammer with all the softer heads needed for smithing and work you don't want marred.

The seller is great, I should have just checked further into the weight of the hammer. For it's price it is excellent qaulity and was shipped to me quickly and at a reasonable price. When I use the synthetic heads, I will just have to ensure that I have one of the metal heads on as well :)

Exactly as described and just what I was looking for. Size and weight is just right for smaller work, and with the five different heads, you will always have the one needed for any particular job.
