Duco Cement Multi-Purpose Household Glue - 1 fl oz

I've been buying Duco cement for many years. It's extremely useful around the house. I've used it to fix fix broken coffee mug handles that have gone through the dishwasher for years since. Also works on most plastics except for nylon, polypropylene, and polyethylene.It can be handy for bonding two different types of materials together. This is a best general purpose household cement that I found.

We got this because we hate using super glue, while it probably isn't as strong as the modern 'super' stuff, this is the stuff your grandparents used to fix any number of things around the house and it works. Holds great, applies smoothly and is the old school alternative to the nasty chemicals in the modern stuff. Shipping was fast, the packaging was great, no complaints!

I craft ....repair....repaint and make things... I always try to keep some Duco cement around,as a tool. I have used it for just about everything that is not wood. I keep this type of glue on hand for fixing ceramic, glass, and plastic pieces that need repair. I like how it dries clear and quickly.

I haven't used this yet, but I notice it says to use outdoors for ventilation. I was not aware of this when purchasing and this makes it less practical for me.

Mix with saw/sanding dust to fill small holes/flaws. Matches the wood perfect and will take stain.

I bought this to glue a ceramic coffee cup handle back on the cup. It worked like a charm! My favorite coffee cup handle broke off - luckily in one piece. I tried this magic "as seen on TV" putty that I had in the drawer. it seemed to work. Looked a little messy - it was dark grey and got on the handle and cup but the handle seemed to hold. Two weeks later it snapped off again at the puttied joints. I cleaned off the putty using my dremel tool and fingernail, got the surface clean. Bought this glue on Amazon due to the raves.The cement was thick enough that it didn't run all over the place. I put a little on both surfaces of the ceramic. Then I positioned the handle on the cup. I was able to slide around until I got it perfect. I held it there for about a minute. The grabbing power of the cement was great. I probably didn't even need to hold it in place (but I did). I let it cure overnight, even though it felt strong enough to hold after a couple hours.The glue is clear. I cleaned excess when it was still in liquid form. My favorite coffee cup looks good as new! It has been washed and used many times and after a month it is still holding strong. I highly recommend getting this glue. Even if you don't need it now... it is indispensable to have in your drawer for emergencies.

This is a great glue. I use it for everything. This is actually a replacement for a tube I had totally used.
