Need to brush up on your college math?
I'm a masters student, returning to uni after a few years working as an engineer. This book is gem. Any time I come across some math I feel unsure about I look to this book for a clear and concise explanation.Part 1 covers differentiation &complex numbers, Part 2 matrics &vectors, Part 3 integration & differential eqns, Part 4 Fourier & Laplace, Part 5 multivariable calculus, Part 6 discrete math, Part 7 probability. There are plenty of examples to illustrate the theory & further exercises with answers at the back. For those who use math as a tool in their field of study (science/engineering), this is a handy book to have around.

Good, but slightly bent.
Book arrived on time, the top right corner however was bent.

One of the best books to cover a large area of subjects
Very good book if you want to remember high school maths and some calculus and linear algebra elements. Very good in showing how exactly to solve exercises (very good examples). Very good and simple explanation without too many formalisms.

Excellent!
This is a brilliantlt detailed book with so many clear, worked explanations which has gone no small way in helping me reason the often under-illustrated theory in my university textbooks (2nd year undergraduate physics). It is a book that can only help steer you through and forward.

Online solutions are full of mistakes
The coverage and explanations are solid, seldom it skips a beat and it's a bit harder to follow but it can be figured out. What's unacceptable is that the answers to the problems that are saved online (not in the book itself) are full of mistakes, sometimes just mistakes in the solution and often its solves the wrong problem, i.e. different to the book's question. Fortunately with Matematic and wolfram I was able to validate the correct answers, but it's time consuming. I have asked the publisher for someone to review these and they asked me to produce the list of mistakes which unfortunately I do not have the resources to do. So I'm not sure it will be reviewed, but it really needs someone who is qualified to do a deep dive review.

Good book.
Large number of areas covered for a solid base in engineering mathematics. Good examples for many of the questions for better understanding.

Madness that apparently works.
That's not actually the 'me' loving it you understand. Incomprehensible gibberish, however clever child says it is really well written and does the job. We now need to wait several thousand years to find out what the job is.

Excellent reference, logically presented.
This is a superb reference for mathematical modelling. People who aren't mathematically oriented may still need to use the basic science in research and discovery within their own areas of expertise; and this book provides the modelling guidance to enable that.
