No fishy burps, odor, or after taste. Sliced capsule open to dribble contents in a paper cup to check for offensive odor indicative of potential high bacteria issues. Did not appear to be an issue. Extremely mild fish odor not alarming at all. I am one of the most blatant "Doubting Thomases" you may ever hear from. I found the claims by one reviewer that this marvelous stuff lowered blood pressure virtually impossible to believe. After being on one pill in the AM and one pill in the PM for one week , I am shocked at the low, low blood pressure I am seeing. I am 72 years old, jogg 2 &1/2 miles every day, might see at the rare very best late at night (my lowest time) a 116/65, but never until now after taking this suppliment 110/63 in the morning and 108/66 in the afternoon. You have to be kidding! Can not remember seeing such personal low blood pressure numbers. Believe I even feel a little better also! Need to mention also take Puritan's Pride "Beet Extract" capsules, one in AM and one in the PM. No blood pressure pills. The lower blood pressure only happened after taking the above fish oil suppliment. Suggest considering both suppliments. It definately works for me. Please consult your physician with the content of this review before stopping or modifying bp prescription meds, Last year this time I was on (now none) 30 mg of lysinopril once daily with much higher bp numbers than those listed above. I am not making this story up or telling anything other than my true experience. Your experience may be different than mine. Be cautious, don't wish to be thought to be any contributing factor for you having a heart attack or stroke.

I've been taking fish oil capsules for decades and these Puritan's pride capsules are very much like what I was taking before. Same size and clarity. I don't notice any difference in how I feel compared to the others, but it's not the kind of thing where I would expect that.The capsule size is largish but I find it is easy for me to swallow. They do not give me fish-burps like some other brands.There are 3 things that got me to choose this fish oil supplement: my brother loved Puritan's Pride brand, with 200 capsules it will last me well over half a year and as of this review the price is very reasonable.I'm very pleased so far and giving these fish oil softgels 5 stars for excellent value.

My acupuncturist who is an MD PhD from Harvard recommended that I start a 4000 mg. Omega 3 regimen about 10 years ago as an overall anti-inflammatory agent for cardiac protection and I've been taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night ever since. I'm not skinny so along with my 81 mg. baby aspirin, I need all the help I can get. Although the caps are big they go down easily with juice. Originally, when I expressed concern about the capsule size, my doctor said drain them out and eat the fish oil on a cracker, it was so important!

I have been using Omega-3 Fish Oil 1200mg, 200 soft gels by Puritan's Pride for a lot of years. The reason is I feel it helps my body.
