Oogaa Divided Plate (Pink)

This is a good plate for little ones. You can put it in the microwave or the oven.It's light and does not slip in any kind of surface.

I bought two of these for my kids and thought what a great idea it was to use silicone instead of plastic or melamine. Unfortunately, after months of use, I noticed that flavors get absorbed into the silicone, including dish soap, no matter how well I wash and rinse it under hot water. I was horrified when I ate some of my kids' leftovers from this plate and it tasted like dish soap. So while my children's foods aren't absorbing chemicals from the silicone itself, it's absorbing other flavors and chemicals that have seeped into the silicone. Now I use bamboo plates but it's hard finding nice divided plates. I suppose I could also use stainless steel, but it doesn't look as appealing to the kids.

I really like the Oogaa utensils, but the plates and bowls are very easy for the baby to flip. Something I didn't really think about when I originally ordered this. I ended up buying divided plates with a nonskid bottom that stay put much better. The plate did work fabulously for the couple of months before she discovered the joy of gravity. It is a little tough to hand wash but does perfectly fine in the dishwasher.

Endless uses for this plate. We once left it at a relatives house and I realized how I couldn't live without it!!! So now we have 2. You can bake in them which is SO cool. Great portions too. They are just deep enough for my daughter to easily scoop out of her food with no problem. They wash great, we are slowly getting rid of all of our plastic and I love oogaa products for their silicone. A must have for sure!

Easy to care for, and I feel more comfortable putting hot foods on this plate than on one of our plastic children's plates. I'm used to a divided plate with one larger space for a main entree, but honestly this plate probably promotes more appropriate portions of meat, vegetables, and grains. I got the pink plate because it was the best deal at the time, I'll definitely pick up other colors when I can!

Love the different compartments on this plate! This is a good gift for parents that try to avoid plastic or other toxic materials. The color is pretty true to the picture.
