This came in today. We are boaters and require our dogs to wear flotation vests while traveling to our destination. We adopted a very large new fur baby and I was concerned about getting a sturdy life vest. Well this is definitely it. The fit was perfect for the measurements. The Velcro and buckles are strong. The handle straps are able to lift his 82 pounds if necessary. He is able to move in it without an issue and appears to be very comfortable. I would say that overall it has exceeded what we look for in functionality. It further passed the water resistance test. Overall is very well made and he looks great in the color.

I was worried that this vest would be too heavy, but it fit well. My dog is a 45lb lab mix and I ordered the large, and she was able to swim easily, although is still getting used to not having her feet on the ground. Functions well and is durable. Also, she looked cute in it

The large size fits my 55lb dog perfectly and he seems very comfortable in it. I especially like the two handles which are very handy for boarding my boat and if he ever fell overboard I can haul him in with a boat hook easily

Update: As expected when my dachshund got so excited and wanted to play hard, his arm got caught in the upper strap but as I stated in the post, always be with your dog. Thankfully he was in my held arms as this happened so I caught it. Can’t say this is was due because I was holding him or not.Another update is that it started to rip on top. So I’ll downgrade this rating.Old review: We love this for our dachshund for a couple of reasons. First, it’s a long enough to cover majority of my doxie’s back. Second, since our dogs are already so low, the front floater is essential for our babies to keep their head more afloat with support. I would say though that you should fasten the velcro higher than you usually would to ensure better support when swimming. Fasten it more than you would in all the straps. Third, I think the material is solid and keeps afloat.As always, NEVER leave your dog unattended, ESPECIALLY for dachshunds who are already height unique. I will say, because of the product design, there is always a possibly of the the front legs of the dachshund of becoming stuck in front part of the vest if they pick up their legs too high (this is a possibility for any design similar to this such as winter jackets) - that is why to always keep an eye on your baby and strap the velcro higher.For the company, if you can make the back even slightly longer for our dachshunds that would be great. Otherwise, it works well!

Perfect for small dogs! Got this for a 15lb pomsky and size small fits perfect. The hot pink is a nice bright color for high visibility. The jacket does float well and supports her in the water. Quality seems good. Easy to put on and adjust.

Nice jacket for my 5.5 lb Morkie. It’s a little big on her, but it’s got Velcro, so that makes it better. I got the pink and it’s a pretty color, and easy to see her in the water.

I have a 25 lb Chihuahua mix. Purchased size medium and it was a great fit. Was able to comfortably wear his regular harness underneath which was nice since the life jacket doesn’t have a clip for a leash. Took himout for his very first boat ride on a lake and felt much more secure due to the life vest. Love the handles on the jacket… nice to hold onto while in the boat and would come on handy to lift out of the water if needed.

Good design, fit our mid-size dog well and provided a lot of stable buoyancy for floating around the Lake. However, fabric tore at a stitch point after initial use. Fabric joint should have had some type of overlapping material. Will sew reinforcement instead of returning because we like the product.
