Flanders PrecisionAire 10155.011616 16 by 16 by 1 Flat Panel EZ Air Filter

I have a forced air HVAC and I'm using this filter as a pre-filter just behind both of my cold air return vents to capture the very large particles (such as clumps of dog or cat hair) before they get drawn into the system. This way my media filter stays cleaner longer - it only has to filter the small, fine, and very fine particulate.Within that use, this filter is great - it's a high flow filter so it does not incur very much pressure differential in the system (i.e. it doesn't put undue load on my blower motor) but it does a good job extending the life of my main filter.With that said, I would *not* use this filter as a primary filter in a whole house forced air HVAC - it only filters the stuff you can see, but its the stuff you can't see that makes you sick.

Bought a case of these which will last.one year. Nice and sturdy with a grate on one side. Thick enough that I can probably shop vac at least once or twice to make them last a little longer.

These filters do not impede air flow as some other air filters do. Just remember too change them every 30 days.
