Raybestos Element3 EHT™ Automotive Replacement Front Brake Pad Set for Selectedt Acura, Honda Model Years (EHT787H)

Installed these on my 2007 Acura TL. They came with the brake hardware which is a must considering the pads will bind if the hardware is dirty or rusted. I personally like the feel of semi metallic brake pads over ceramic, however i do not like the black brake dust that gets on my rims. I have most recently run akebono brake pads which are great, but don't have the pedal feel i love about high quality semi-metallic pads. Semi metallic pads pull heat away from the rotor better in hot conditions, they perform better than ceramics in the cold, and they "bite" sooner and with less effort than ceramics. However they can be noisier and cause black brake dust.These Raybestos hybrid element 3 pads are not a mixture of a ceramic and semi-metallic, they are made of a new combination of elements that have the stopping power of semi metallic pads with the cleanliness and smooth quietness of ceramics. I personally do not like the performance of traditional ceramic pads when finessing the brake pad, they do not "bite" when pressing the pedal lightly. These pads are silent smooth, yet i do not have to mash on the pedal as hard as i do with ceramic pads to get them to feel good. My favorite thing about these pads is the pedal feel, they are amazing, again they grab/bite the rotor much sooner and with less pedal effort than traditional ceramic pads, which gives you a much better range of braking for more spirited driving or braking into turns. In all, these pads have the awesome responsiveness of semi metallic pads without the noise and brake dust. Awesome product, absolutely silent!

Installed these on a friend's 2009 Acura TSX when we replaced the rotors.I always buy pad kits that include hardware, and you should too. The only thing this did not come with is the spring that help spread the pads away from the rotor when you aren't pressing the brakes. The pads that were originally on the car were Acura OEM pads. These new pads do not even have the little hole in the backing plate to re-use the old spring clip, so we installed the pads without the spring. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the spring does much anyway (it's about as strong as a paper clip), but it's a tad disappointing this kit didn't have them. To be fair, after looking at other brake pad suppliers, none of them appear to include this spring in their "hardware" kit. Granted, the product description does not say it comes with this spring, so I knew what I was getting, but I would have at least expected the new pads to contain the hole in the backing plate so the old spring could be re-used. Because of this, I'm taking off 1 star.Oh, my friend said the brake pads felt great. We're not filming Fast and Furious 15 or anything, more like Getting Groceries 3.

As always, remove excess material so the pads move freely in their bracket. Brake material seems to be very nice and operate silently with good grip.
