Sexiest Basic Laptop Out There
It’s not the most spec’d out computer on the planet. So if you’re a gamer, look elsewhere. However, if you just use your laptop for basics and school, this folio is a step above the competition. This model has been out for a couple years already, but the wow factor is still there. In a world full of Apple, dare to be the orange. I mean, the friggin chassis is made of leather, like, real leather. It’s a cool machine, and the pen comes in the box. Most importantly, when it converts to tablet mode, the keyboard isn’t on the back. That’s really the whole reason I bought it, personally.

Great Convertible and Impressive Design
This is an impressive piece of technology when sitting in a meeting...take notes, show others items you are working on, and the looks it gets are priceless. I also love this laptop/tablet on the couch. Easily switch from laptop to tablet mode and get stuff done in comfort. Would be nice if the angle of the screen in laptop mode had more flexibility, but it works well just the same. I have used this for more intensive programs like Photoshop and Premiere, and it works well (gets a little warm but all laptops do with those programs). I love it!

Looks great, but slow and poor quality
Although it's an i7 processor, it's still very slow. Using Photoshop on my old Surface with an i5 was just as fast as this HP. A bigger issue, just after the warranty expired the touchscreen failed. I went through all the diagnostics with HP and it was not a software or driver issue and I would have to take it to a service center. No thanks, I can just imagine what a replacement screen would cost! On top of that, the touch pad seems to be seperating from the base. It makes a loud click when tapping it now. I'll stick with Microsoft from now on. Update - Now the touch pad isn't functioning, just 1 1/2 years after purchasing. WORST computer I've ever owned, and I've had many laptops since my first one in 1989!

Good Notebook with VERY DISAPPOINTING PROBLEM
I have enjoyed this relatively powerful and stylish device from day one. Candidly, I purchased it primarily because of its unique and attractive leather exterior styling. But now, that leather exterior is an awful eyesore. Within several months, the edges started to fray: first on left and right front-bottom corners, and now, across the front-bottom. I am about to determine whether HP will resolve this issue for me. I will update this post with the results.Today, I revised my review for this device after receiving it from HP after warranty repair. It appears as though HP replace the entire leather cover. It looks as great as it did day-one out of the packaging. But we'll see how long leather lasts. Again, aside from the leather-splitting issue, this is a very good device. Great styling, good speed, good screen, great keyboard, good sound, and good battery life.

Great form factor
Great form look and feel. The battery life is amazing and it's great for a daily grinder that uses the basics productivity apps. It remains much cooler than any laptop I've ever had and it's quite. It's not the fastest and the processor is a dual core.

Beautiful laptop, but major issue!!
I sold my macbook to buy this Simply because of how it looks and it's touch features. I couldn't avoid it's form. It's not ultra fast, but it's fine.BUT, the leather that covers the device is deeply flawed. only a few months in, and the leather edges(glued together) that are in contact with my palm or lap or backpack is starting to separate. Absurd for a laptop only used for a few months. And I use it with care too, but it's unavoidable if you want to use it at all. Hp should've stitched the edges or done something else, and even if you send it to hp to fix it..the same thing will happen eventually. The only way i see it is to stitch around the edges..maybe that will help..but the fact that you have to do it shows HP didn't do its due research before putting it on the market.

Great, light laptop but...
This Laptop is great and is good for traveling, however the leather is not durable. I care for the leather as per the instructions and the edges seem to wear off easily and the plastic lining comes out of the laptop. Other than this, the laptop has great performance and the touch screen is very responsive. Just sad to see a laptop this expenisive has poor leather.
