Water Filter + Softner by Sonaki VitaPure - Removes Sediment, Rust, Heavy Metals, Odor, Residual Chlorine

When I lived at my last place it had well water which was very hard and had high iron content as well as Calcium. The first thing I noticed is how much faster soap rinsed off in the shower and shampoo rinsed out of the hair, everything sudsed up like it should as hard water requires more of everything to get the amount of suds. Now at my new place, it is not well water but it is very hard, even harder than the well water was as well as having chlorine again. There is no iron in this water but the dissolved solids are 900ppm which clogged up a zero water filter for drinking in less than a week. The nice thing about these is that you can see the filter change color. I will keep refills around. I really like this filter. The water just feels better on one's body as well as soap and shampoo working more efficiently. I've never wanted to change since I had it. I've used it for several months now and no way was I going to leave it at the last house, nope, it came with me and was one of the first things I changed when I moved into my new house 1200 miles away.

I'm not sure what is meant by "thickness" of the product, but it is sturdy. Very easy to install! I twisted off my showerhead with just my hand and then twisted this device on with just my hand and attached my showerhead to the device using just one hand. It comes with a wrench-type of tool, but maybe that's for opening it to change the filter. We have hard well water and the difference was immediately noticeable! I can go longer without washing my hair as it is curly and you don't want to wash curly hair every day. I noticed my hair is quicker now to blow dry and style as it's not weighed down with all the junk that is in my well water. The shampoo and body wash sud up a lot more now. Wish I bought this ages ago! I bought this for my elderly mom as I found this product mentioned in an article about dry skin. I noticed her hair was a lot softer and shinier after she used this filter, too. So far, no complaints about dry skin. Yay!

The product filters the water. I am not sure how much it softens the water and a water softner will be better. But it filters the water prior to going in the softner. I can hear the filter working.

Helped tremendously with the hard water in Albuquerque. Installation was quick and easy, and the filters will be easy to replace.
