04-14 Ford F-150 Super Cab (6.5ft Bed) 4" Black W2W Oval Steps

Great Look & Function! But.......
I purchased these for a 2004 Ford F150 extended cab. I was going to go with a 2 step model from a different manufacturer, but I saw the three step (wheel to wheel, as they call it) and thought it was a great idea to have the back step to get easier access to the bed.The installation was very easy, good directions and came with all necessary hardware. The picture shows three brackets for each step but in reality there are only two. The brackets use existing holes that I assume are for the factory optional steps, there are 3 of these but only 2 are used. This appears to be sufficient support for the steps at the front and rear doors. The problem is that the rear step to access the bed is a considerable distance from the rear support bracket, and so stepping on the rear step results in a severe deflection of the step to the point that putting anywhere near my full weight on the rear step feels like the whole thing will be ripped off the truck. If they had used a third bracket in the middle support point that may have given it enough extra support but it really needs some sort of support near the back step. So presently I consider the third step useless, and possibly a safety hazard. If you are around 120lbs or so, it might be ok but it doesn't appear to be strong enough to trust for anyone over 200lbs like me.
