I’m such a fan of this stuff! I’ve been using it for almost 20 years!!I have trichotillomania, a BFRB (look it up!), and so I’m always dealing with growing-in eyelashes. This is my favorite product to use because the application is easy, the applicator brush gently scratches my lids, which is what I need for relief, and the formula is gentle, tingly, and effective. My lashes definitely grow in faster when I use this. I recommend it to anyone struggling with trich! And, of course, anyone with eyelashes at all!!

I was a little skeptical on buying this product, but after reading the reviews (and seeing the affordable price) I decided to go for it. My lashes are very short and even with mascara, they're not very visible. I've been using this for a week - twice per day as opposed to the overnight suggestion... A light application in the morning, a thicker application at night. So far I've noticed that my lashes are darker, have thickened a little and have grown longer. It's been only week one and the results so far look very promising. I'm excited to see the results at the one month mark.Cons: It leaves a white residue on your lashes (not too noticeable though) and it can be a little tricky to apply.It doesn't irritate my eyes at all. I've gotten it in my eyes and it doesn't burn or sting. Overall, I would highly recommend this product.*** UPDATE: I've been using this product for close to a year now. This is my 4th or 5th bottle and my lashes and eyebrows have filled in and have never looked better! Love my eyebrows :) Use a light coat, curl your eyebrows and apply your favorite mascara for best effects!Just a heads up: This is a slow process and it may not work for everyone. If you want natural and healthy looking lashes/brows, give this a try. It takes time and patience to see growth. If you're expecting results right away or dramatic changes, you might want to shell out more money for Lilash or Latisse. I'm happy with this product and will be ordering more.

I have been in love with Mavala for many years! To be exact, since 2010 I started using it. For those who search for growing long eyelashes, let me share my experience why Mavala is better than other products.I had used Latisse, Vegamour, LeuLash, RapidLash, RevitalLash ..., you name it, I probably had tried them before. Latisse is expensive and required prescription (unless you buy it from a doctor's office that they know you). I used Latisse for almost six months and had to stop because it was causing too much irritation. My eyes were red and dried, and the long lashes didn’t stay too long, they dropped off easily. My friend who used Latisse had hairs grown near her eyes, near ear areas, perhaps due to rubbing her eyes after application.Other eyelash serums or lashes-lengthen alternatives have different ingredients but their applications more or less the same, using a simple applicator that looks like an eye liner to apply on eyelids once a day. Without going into a lengthy discussion, a gentle reminder is to check the ingredients by googling them for safety and avoid some eyelash serums that can cause potentially dangerous side effects such as ocular irritation, hyperemia, iris color change, macular edema and ocular inflammation, that may cause allergy, especially to people with sensitive skin.Mavala is not a magic serum, it works slowly. When I used other serums, I sometimes get eye redness and itchiness, or in worst scenario, my eyes became drier. Mavala doesn’t cause such problem. It works slowly so don’t expect lengthy lashes overnight. While other serums might give you lengthy lashes, Mavala gives you thinker lashes. I also find that my lashes don’t drop off quickly compared to using other brands. I apply Mavala once a day after shower, under my upper eyelids and eyebrows. Over the years, many people have complimented my thick eyebrows and eye lashes. Mavala didn’t give me any irritations. I am a forgetful person even if I forget to apply Mavala (especially traveling and sometimes just forgot), my eye lashes stayed the same. Certainly, I do always go back to using it. By the way, if you have the patience to apply multiple coats, and cover your entire lashes with the serum (brush them all the way to the end), it does help to grow longer lashes. In the beginning (first few years) I did that, but now I am happy with the results and don’t bother to work harder. My lashes grow thicker in several rows of lashes, I can see it using a 5x magnifying mirror.To summarize, I love Mavala as it gives me stronger and thicker eye lashes without eye irritation. It is made in Switzerland. The reason I give it four stars is because the price increase is too much! I started buying from Amazon in 2012. I just checked the price, it was only $15 in 2012... fast forward to recent years, $27.50 in 2019 and now $37 before tax!If you find this review useful, please give me an encouraging “helpful” pat on the shoulder. This stuff is amazing. I’ve always had semi long eyelashes and would use latisse to make them long and fuller. Latisse is so expensive. I stopped using it. Then, I hit the perimenopause stage and my eyelashes shrunk to stumps. On a whim, I bought this and holy cow!! In just a few weeks (using it nightly) my eyelashes are just as long and fuller as they looked with latisse. I am so happy I bought this. In fact, I bought several more to have on hand. I recommend this 100%.

It works. It took more than a month of everyday use for me to see the difference in my lashes, so if you don't have any side effects just be patient keep using it and you'll get the result.No one commented on how incredible my lashes got to be, they are pathetic, to begin with, but after a month and a half, I definitely see the difference. They are a little bit longer acquired an amazing curl and there is also a definite increase in the quantity.The huge downside in my case is that the result comes at the expense of hurt swollen eyes with very pronounced under eye bags. My eyes are sensitive, to begin with. The swelling and puffiness from using this product were building up gradually, the longer I used Double-Lash, the worse my eyes and the undereye area were looking every morning.I was persistent because my natural lash situation desperately needs some help, and I doubt I ever read a complaint about some side effects, so only stopped using it when on top of swelling my eyes turned slightly red and very watery. The pain, swelling, and redness were gone in several days.I tried to use it on my brows, that gave me a gradual swelling of upper lids and no significant result for brow hair.
