LuxoLS1AWT LS 23W CFL Task Light, 45" Powder-Coated Arm with External Springs, Edge Clamp, White

I originally bought the Bostitch Office VLF100 LED Desk Lamp and it was a terrible, cheap, disappointment. I tried screwing the clamp mount to my desk and the mount bent from a small amount of pressure before I could even attached the actual lamp. I thought "forget this" and I purchased this (much more expensive) lamp based on a NY Magazine recommendation and I can absolutely say it's worth the money. If you have the funds I highly recommend saving yourself a lot of hassle and getting this one instead. It bends every direction you ask it to and it stays in place. It's sturdy and has that professional quality feel. It looks pretty good, sort of industrial. I'm not worried about it breaking, snapping or catching on fire. With a little TLC I can see it lasting the rest of my life/professional career. Totally worth the extra money.

This light has professional-level, high-quality functioning. The description is limited here and on the company website, so I wasn't sure if it would meet my needs. Two minutes out of the box, it was clamped onto my work table and turned on. The CFL bulb starts dim, but within minutes the light is bright and clear. The shade has an inner layer around the bulb which keeps the outer shade cool and easy to touch for adjusting angles. The arms and springs are sturdy and hold the light solidly in any position you put it in. It's everything I hoped it would be, making the price a true value. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I made the same mistake as some other reviewers and that was to purchase a knock-off or "more affordable" version. Returned them all wasting time and money. As soon as I set this lamp up, I knew I had found what I was looking for. The review that got me was something like, "finally a product that was over-engineered." Love that line and I can see what they meant. It's a beautiful product.

I bought this lamp as a replacement to my original Luxo Lamp. The new is so vastly improved with thicker steel and strong springs. I should have replaced my lamp long ago. I am so happy with the new one.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this lamp - I have another one of these, but this one should never have passed quality assurance: the swing arm will not tighten enough to hold the lamp head in place, and, even worse, the base stem would not fit into the desk clamp. I had to ream out the hole to make the thing work. Not good, Luxo, for an expensive task light.

THERE IS NO OFF SWITCH. Seriously. Who does that?!There is literally no switch to turn it on or off. Which means you have to unplug it at the actual wall to turn it off.It really sucks that they don't mention this *anywhere* on the listing. I have arthritis and bending over to pull a switch out of the freaking wall entails crawling under my work desk and yanking. Absolutely ridiculous design flaw and shady to not point that out.It's too bad because otherwise this lamp is what I've always been looking for - sturdy, elegant, complete range of motion, clamp is sturdy as anything. But the lack of an on/off switch is EXTREMELY frustrating. I would not have bought this if I had known.

Traditional drafting table necessity migrates to other office and household functions.

This was one of the only overbuilt, sturdy clamp lamps I could find that could extend high enough to clear my elevated monitor stands and 24” monitors. It looks great, moves and adjusts smoothly, sticks in place, and you get good length on the power cord. Infinite adjustability is such a powerful feature to have. Comes with the clamp and a 100w equivalent bulb in the box.

Built rock solid and includes adjustable clamp that can attach to any desk. Arm and lamp head can articulate to virtually any position and angle. Once you've adjusted the light source, the arm is sturdy and maintains the custom angle without ever loosening or sagging. Expensive as **** but I hope this is the last lamp I'll ever need.

It mounts nicely to my drawing board and holds it's position. Solidly built and looks good.
