Perfect Litter Premium Lightweight Clumping with Wellness Indicator

This is literal a revolution in litter. It should have an entirely different name because it is so much different and better than any other litter out there If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I can certainly see why it won a national award for innovation.I only bought it for its ability to indicate in a cat has a urinary tract infection because my cat has a bad one, along with early kidney disease, so I need to constantly monitor it. But, now that I’ve used it, I will never stop. It’s incomparable with any other littler.The most amazing things about it are:— URINE CLUMPS ARE LIGHT AS A FEATHER AND SEEM “CLEAN.” I know it seems like a contradiction in terms, but the clumps of urine hardly seem like they have anything in them. It appears as if the litter is able to dehydrate the urine so there is no water weight. They are practically weightless and something about the material makes it seem as if it’s actually clean not full of urine.— NO ODOR. The dehydration seems to also eliminate the smell of urine. I’ve never experienced such an absence of odor with litter. After three weeks of using only half this litter and half my normal litter (Dr. Elseys) with two cats, I suddenly noticed that I had not been smelling urine at all.— IT CLUMPS PERFECTLY AND LEAVES NO RESIDUE IN THE BOX. Once you remove the urine and feces, the remaining litter seems perfectly clean. It hardly seems as if I would ever need to replace the entire amount of litter.— THE UTI INDICATOR WORKS. Two cats use my box. And the one with the UTI always pees in the same part of the box, so it’s each to tell which clumps are hers. Her clumps have turned a light salmon pink color whereas the other cat’s clumps are the same straw color of the litter.I also love that it is made of natural materials. The only con is the fact that because it is so light and airy, the dust from it tends to float it the air and put a little dusting on things nearby. And of course the cats kick it around. But that’s bit much different than regular litter and is a small price to pay for it’s extraordinary benefits.The other thing about this that amazes me is the price. I would have thought that such a revolutionary new product would cost double my regular litter. But based on my use so far, it lasts longer than Dr Elseys so I think the cost may end up equal.By far and away the best litter I’ve ever used in my life. I hope they got a patent for this.

I had to add a 2nd litter box because of behavior issues with one of two cats - problem solved. This litter is so light weight, I came home from work twice to find the 2nd box on it's side (that was kind of funny, because I envisioned the cat flopping around inside the box while it tipped). At any rate, I found a spot to wedge the box so that wouldn't happen again, placed a mat in front of the box to catch what inevitably gets tracked out - scoop daily and all is well.This cat is a real pisser (in more ways than one), I read where someone claimed the litter turned to basically cement...no clue what that's all about, I've seen nothing even remotely close to that. Perhaps they've mixed in some quickrete :)

I bought this to try to monitor the ph of my cats urine. However, what I did not know (and didn't see a disclaimer anywhere) is that if you use other odor control products or mix with your old litter, it was turn it pink as well. So I put the litter in one box to mix. Put the other box with only the new litter. Went to add catnip to attract him to the mixed box and noticed it was pink. But he hasn't peed! The box with all new litter stayed the neutral color. And he wouldn't use the new stuff at first without it being mixed so since it changed color, it literally became a waste. But I will say I like it as a regular litter. Good odor control and super light. A bit dusty. Not sure if I'll use again or not.

I've only been using it a week, and the only downside is that it's so light, the litter box moves around, and there's a good amount more mess on the floor around the litter box. I really needed the lightweight factor, and am thrilled with that, and the cats have taken to it alright, though there's still some non-burying going on. I'll see if the box actually lasts a month, that's yet to be determined, and is a fairly significant factor in whether I love the product or not. We'll see...

This litter does track all over your house. BUT I feel this is a fair trade off for knowing my 21 year old cat did indeed potentially have a UTI. You will need to scoop the litter as the color pooled at the bottom of the clumped urine.Four stars only because it will make a mess of the room the litter box is in. If I could give 4.5 stars I would because I feel it's worth that minor flaw.

Love the weight....love the odor control; however, the wellness indicator that detects higher ph levels that may mean your cat is suffering a ut disorder, colors with the use of odor control sprays, like Odor Control from Hartz. Just be aware that you may rush off to the vet for no good reason if you see pink litter while using additional odor control products.

The litter was very lightweight. However, after keeping the litter box clean for a week, I could still smell the small kitten poo in the back room. Odor control is terrible. You could smell the litter box as soon as you walked in the house. I wouldn't recommend this. If this couldn't control a 6 week old kittens odor, then it won't control a grown cat's odor.

But it’s so darn dusty! I have to vacuum almost my entire house everyday because of the sandy, brown foot prints my cat leaves everywhere. Otherwise, this is a near perfect cat litter. Literally didn’t think my cat was even using it at first which scared me, because of the high absorbency. So light weight, makes changing out litter a breeze.
