Great cover for the money
I have a 160gb 7th generation I pod and this cover fits perfect. It snaps on easy and fits tight. I like the cover over the screen as additional protection. I also like the opening for the adjustment wheel. It's very sturdy and offers great protection without adding much bulk. My I pod still slips easily into my pocket. I have no problem using the headphone jack or the charging port with the cover on. The Black color looks good on my black I pod.

Good Protection
I recently purchased an iPod Classic 160 GB. I wanted something reasonably priced to keep it protected from scratches. This case is made out of hard plastic and comes in two halves that snap together. All the holes line up perfectly for charging and plugging in your listening devise as well as access to the function lock. The click pad is recessed so it is free from interference. A plus is that it can easily be opened if the need should arise. I am very pleased with this product.

Works well, and was the best deal I could find for iPod classic
It fits well, arrived on time, and looks good. It seems to be made of durable material, but I'm a little concerned on whether or not it would come off if too much pressure were applied (i.e., a bigger drop). It's a two-piece, snap-on case, and it seems to be a reliable-enough attachment when you have your device in it, but I'm still a bit unsure. It would definitely be adequate for your regular drops or fumbles. Aside from that concern, it is good. It's lightweight, looks great in black or purple, and is made of material that would definitely resist damage from shock, scratching, or contact force. The holes that it has for the headphone jack, sync port, and hold button are good sized, and are convenient. Although the holes for these don't have a flap or cover, so these jacks are not protected from dust or damage as with Otterbox cases. The screen is protected, which is nice as well. Until Otterbox makes iPod Classic (7g) cases, this is probably the way to go. Oh, and I petitioned Otterbox to do so on their website/feedback and suggestion section. Currently, Otterbox doesn't offer any iPod Classic cases, and I really think they should as I would more than happily purchase this from them, as they're the best I've come across and I love them for my iPhone 4S. I recommend others to do this, that way it happens sooner!

You win this time China...
Trash. The two halves don't fit together. Once you get one side to click in place and start on the other side, the first side pops out when you get the second side to click place. I even tried heating the plastic to make it work but no dice. Look elsewhere unless you wanna wrap tape around it.

Very nice case for a very small price
I just received a slim 160GB iPod Classic for Christmas and while it looks very sleek and shiny now, I was afraid it wouldn't stay that way for long without a little help. I didn't want some rubber or silicone case that covers up the classy design of the iPod itself, so I began browsing the hard acrylic cases that are out there. This one seems to be the best by far. Its clear back piece allows you to see that nice, shiny iPod showing through, while the front has a fairly tough piece of textured aluminum (in black, to mimic the front of my player). It's a fairly simple design that just works well. The clear screen cover gives you a great look at the iPod's screen, and the side cutouts do allow you access to all ports and buttons. It's only going to be defensive against scratches, nicks and the like...there's no cushioning or shock absorbent material inside. So if you plan on dropping your iPod a lot, you may want to look elsewhere.

AWESOME!
Very nice color and there are stylish grooves in the front. Although it is plastic I have dropped it a few times and it has not broke. It is kind of hard to get apart. The back is clear also the plastic over the screen. There is no plastic over the clicker and the lock and the place for the headphones as well as the place were you plug it into the computer. I am VERY satisfied by this purchase.

great looking case
This case is great, it makes my black ipod not look scratched up and gross in the front. The black front has some texture so it's easy to grip while I'm at the gym and it doesn't go flying when my hands are a little sweaty. It is pretty heavy duty. I haven't dropped it yet but I'm sure it will keep my ipod looking good if I do.

It's OK
I wasn't really sure what to expect from this case but the price was low enough (~$15) for me to give it a go. I am disappointed that the front of the case is not made of aluminum. It features a black front with a circular texture but it is all plastic. In fact, the entire case is made out of plastic so I am not sure why it is described as being aluminum platted. That was a little disappointing as it does not fit the description of the case. My second disappointment comes from the was the case is held together. The front (non-aluminum platted) half snaps onto the back plastic plate. It fits securely enough but dropping the iPod from a short distance onto any side/corner causes the case to pop open. The fit could be a little better as one corner of the case (on my 160GB iPod classic from 2009) doesn't fit as seamless as the others. The case has some positive aspects though: it is light, inexpensive, low profile, and does a good job of showing off the iPod in a stylish manner. This definitely isn't the best case on the market by any means and should only be purchased by people who are careful with their iPods. It won't help protect against bumps or drops as it protects against cosmetic damage from everyday activity, that is about it. Other companies make better cases, such as iSkin and their eVo line, but they are also 4-5 times more expensive. You get what you pay for and that is really evident with this case. Not a bad purchase at $15 but not the best either. A few aspects could have made this a much better case such as having a way to secure the front and back plates together without having them just snap in place (some type of plastic hinge with a clasp). Actually having aluminum plating would have bumped my score up to 3.5-4 out of 5 stars. Instead it sits at about 2.75 stars out of 5 so I rounded up to give the case a 3/5.
