African American Expressions - Sister Friends Coffee Mug, 15 oz Dishwasher & Microwave Safe (4.25" x 3.5") CHMUG-35

This is definitely a gift for someone. This fit right in with my sister in-laws collection of Obama and Maya.

Gorgeous mug, as is the black one, of one of the greatest and classiest, most intelligent, funny, charming, compassionate, revolutionary, transformational, elegant and inspiring presidencies, presidents and first ladies to walk the earth! What a beautiful and inspiring couple, an example beyond words. I bought these so that every day for the next four years as we sip our coffee, we can remember what it was like to have true class in the White House, and that yes, it IS possible; as we are going to need as much hope as we can get. The mugs themselves are a perfect, heavy but not too heavy weight, beautifully made and comfortable in the hand, wonderful and unique shape and handles. I docked one star because the images on ours aren't as vibrant, vivid, colorful and clear as in the product photos, and "The Obamas" insignia is very crookedly applied on the cream one, and the image is slightly crooked on the black one, which was somewhat disappointing. (Made in China.) Even so, they are still excellent quality, I adore them and they are my favorite new mugs; and are great collector's items, meant to be used, enjoyed and loved. I initially bought them as his & hers Christmas gifts, but I was too excited to wait and we have been enjoying them daily as we sip our fuel for the holiday season. We needed our Barack and Michelle inspiration NOW, to help get us through this crazy time! Who knew a coffee mug could do so much? :) African American Expressions is a wonderful company with unique and beautiful items. (And thanks for the lovely pen!) We will be back! Received with the handle broken off. Maybe if wrapped in bubble wrap rather than brown paper it would have survived the journey to my home. The graphics are lovely!!! No issue with that quality. I did not send it back because it took several days to receive. It was a gift to my daughter. We decided to glue the handle back on using E5000 glue. I would buy from this company again because maybe the reason it broke could have been because of how packages are thrown about by the shipping company. But, I would still suggest bubble wrap to better absorb the shock of packages being tossed around.

I love the design and the size of the mug.

I received it a week earlier and it's just as described. It looks better in person and has some weight to it. I love it! It matches my coffee warmer, so that a plus too. It's a B.O.B., so I am happy to give my support! Will definitely purchase from this company again!

It's a beauty that I gave to a friend as a going-away present. I know that she's going to love it.

Beautiful cup! I thought it came in pairs. So I only got the one cup.

This is a Commercial Mug with an Add on Picture of Maya Angelou to celebrate an Iconic and Brilliant Poet and Thinker etc. etc. My expectations were never for a Museum Quality piece, but to give a delightful present to a favorite cousin. Why are 2 for 2 Mugs not at a Satisfactory level of Workmanship? The 1st came with a small raised bump on Maya’s face and a few pit holes in the Ceramic glaze, so I contacted the Seller and a Company Rep. quickly Rushed a Mug Replacement. NICE MOVE....and Very Appreciated! BUT the 2nd Mug has9 or more fine Vertical and Diagonal scratches on the Surface of the Glaze. AND the Base of the 2nd Mug has a small section with a Rough surface that made me immediately want to bust out some sand paper to sand down the Grain!How did the Manufacturing plant in China manage to make these Flaws? Are they just Banging them out with No Quality Control? Hand made items have lots of imperfections, but this is a Commercial item and there are lots of Products available at 1/2 the price without these Flaws in the manufacturing process. Sorry to say but 2 👎 👎.
