This is great for doing top down shoots, though it is unstable
This is working out great for doing top-down shoots, though I can't use the full length of the top portion, since it will tip over, the base just isn't wide enough, so just keep in mind you can't use the entire length while in 90 degree mode.I have very poor 4g/5G signal in my apartment due to location, and am using this fully extended to get my phone in hotspot mode high enough to get a signal for my internet service, which works great.

Almost perfect!
Great little hand! I use this to hold my phone while I look at the screen and trace pictures onto things via the camera. There isn’t a position I’ve needed that I couldn’t make happen with this handy thing! Super sturdy base plate, decent metal for the arms and good turning mechanisms. If you’re open to a cheaper, not perfect but workable model without spending $100+, this is itFew critiques would be: while the baseplate is heavy, it needs to be heavier or slightly wider. My phone often wants to tip in it. It’s easy to counter weight by putting a slightly heavy object on the plate. I really like the ball joint this has! I have to tighten wirh pliers to get it to completely lock and not slip when in use. Not a problem in itself, but needs a more solid grip price that the plastic tightening mech for longevity.

Almost perfect - still love it
This thing is almost perfect. Love the freedom of being able to move it around without having to clamp it to a table. You can manipulate and use this in endless ways from overhead view to front filming/picture taking. The only issue I have with it is that I just have a regular Iphone Xs and it still starts to tip when the arm is extended fully for overhead shooting. I have to hang something heavy from the other end if I don’t want that to happen. Still worth the purchase in my opinion. Especially since it looks like the seller upgraded the phone holder. I didn’t have the issue a lot of people in the comments had about the spring breaking easily. The phone holder that came with mine the screw type and not spring.

It didn't come with all the parts
I was so excited to get this only to find that parts were missing from it. The picture shows the parts that come with it. When I opened the box and put it together, parts were missing. However, I made it work somehow even though it was a pain to do. I would have sent it back if not for that reason. This is the second time this has happened with me through Amazon. If it happens again I will start shopping someplace else. Would I recommend this product to others? not really. you'll probably end up with missing parts as well.

Perfect for an Artist
Love this product! I needed a tripod to hold my phone while I draw for my online art classes. I wanted something I could put on a thin table and this one is nice and heavy so it stays put. I love that you can adjust it multiple ways to face you or the table. The only two downsides are that 1. the phone holder is extremely tight so I have to take my phone case off and really squeeze it in there. 2. The base is a hard metal so I usually put a placemat down so it doesn’t scratch the table. A nice update would be a more adjustable phone holder, and some little foam grips on the bottom of the stand.

Stand good, phone mount BAD
The stand is exactly what I was looking for - it’s heavy and stable, and you’re able to adjust the height and arm length. The mount that attaches to your phone is horrendous. The springs busted out as soon as I tried to attach my phone. It was horrible trying to get them back in, and once I did fix it I could see there was no way this thing would hold anything. I tried several times and the springs kept coming out. It’s cheaply made. Very disappointed that I now have to search for that piece somewhere else. The stand is nice though so I’ll keep that. But for this price they should have included a phone mount that’s not so cheap and junky.

FINALLY a phone photo arm that stays put!
I LOVE this thing! I stumbled across it and thought the counterweight design might just solve the issue that every other design I have tried lacks. All of the other phone holders I have tried use a bendable arm to hold and position a phone for taking hands free photos - and none of them can hold my phone without the arm slowly falling down from the weight of the phone. This one is fantastic and is made of mostly metal - very sturdy! I placed little felt stick on pads on the bottom of the hefty metal base to prevent scratching my countertop — love it.

Perfect for quick videos
This stand works great. The base has enough weight to it that you don't have to worry too much about it tipping over. You can set it up for so many different angles and it adjust quickly. It is really portable and perfect for shooting videos in the kitchen.
