So many hours of fun, reusable, mess free
These are amazing. The paint shows up immediately when the water touches the book. My 2 year old painted this for hours! Very sturdy, vibrant colors, easy to carry.

Roadtrip Lifesaver!
I got this because I was going on a roadtrip to the mountains with my toddler and I knew he would get bored and fussy if he was in the car for 3.5 hours with nothing to do. He's really into coloring right now, but the idea of having crayons dropping left and right and getting lodged in the seat was a no go. This was perfect. To get the "paintbrush" to work, you just unscrew the parts and fill the tube up with water, then screw the cap back on. That gives you enough water to "paint" most of the pictures in the book. The book was small enough that it could sit easily on his lap, so he painted away for a good thirty minutes without getting bored. The brush was thick enough that it was easy to hold in my 18 month old's hand. He LOVED the dinosaurs and would gasp when the water revealed parts of the pictures that weren't already outlined. The book also has little scavenger hunts where you can ask your toddler to find different images, but my toddler is still a bit too little for that, so we just talked about what he was seeing as he colored since I was in the back seat with him. I plan on purchasing another one of these for his Christmas stocking. This is a great no-mess gift for little artists learning fine motor skills, and a fun thing to throw in a diaper bag for entertaining kids on the go.

Fun over and over!
These little books are genius. I loved the paint with water books when I was a child, but these books take it to the next level! They are reusable which is the best feature. As you paint with water, little hidden things appear in the adorable illustrations, and each page has you look for something different. It’s fun for toddlers, preschool, and possibly early elementary kids. Easy enough to throw in a diaper bag or purse to entertain kids at a restaurant or some other event. It comes with a pen like paint brush that you add some water to. When your child is finished, there is a plastic holder for the brush to be returned to for the next time. Once the pages dry, they are ready for fun all over again. I thought the price seemed a little steep originally, but once I realized it’s reusable, it seems more worth it.

Mom and Toddler LOVES it ^^!!!
Loves it! My 2 years old Loves it too! She never gets bored with it! Always tells me that she wanted to colors! Helps my toddler practice how to use hold something to color/write.I love the fact that it is Mess-Free and Reusable! Super Perfect for younger toddler. I use hair dryer to dry it quicker because my toddler wants to color again ^^. It is also travel friendly! There are minor flaws to it though.1. My toddler has just turned 2 and she can't hold the pen properly, she was excited to color with it and she kept on scratching the pages using the pen it came with, the upper layer of the pages scratched off and it showed the color inside. Luckily I was able to teach my young toddler to color gently ^^. So it is recommended for maybe 3 years old toddler. But I always like to teach my toddler earlier and lucky for me she listen and pick up quickly about not to color too roughly.2. Although that it is travel friendly since it holds everything together, however I find the place to hold the pen on the middle of the book makes it too bulky and space taking.3. The pen can easily be opened and water can be easily spilled. I usually only filled 1/4 of the pen that way when she spilled it there are not too much water.Other than it can be scratched off easily if used too rough, too bulky, and pen can be opened easily, I guess there are nothing much to complain. I still gives this book 5 Stars because it gives my toddler a lot if Joy and Problem free for me because there are no color mess! Highly recommended educational toy for your early Learners ^^

Easy Entertainment
This is travel sized and easy to put into a purse or diaper bag. Only needing water makes it easy to give kids at the dinner table when out to eat or in the car for longer trips. Only downside is younger kids or destructive kids can scratch off the "magic paper" that allows you to water paint over and over again.

Hours of fun
I know Melissa and Doug products can seem expensive, at first. However, once you see how long they last, how much your child loves it, how consistent their products are, and how readily available they are, you won’t want to buy another brand. These “coloring books” work just as described. The “paint brush/marker” has a storage spot right on the cover. I will admit, I had to tape ours back on because I hastily ripped it out because my daughter (and myself) were excited to try it out when it arrived. Works great on trips and when child wants to do coloring and you have to work on household/work assignments. It keeps them busy, no damaging furniture etc, and they can keep coloring over and over. I love the fact that it is mess free and great for traveling
