Care Touch CTPN31516 Pen Needle, 31 Gauge, 5/16" Size, 100 Pack

Excellent product and service

I originally ordered three (3) packages of 100 pen needles each. They work as well as my Pharmacy supplied "CAREONE Unifine Pentips Pen Needles 31 Gauge X 8mm (5/16")" for which my co-pay with insurance was $27.00 per 100 count box while in my insurance donut hole coverage tier. So I just recently ordered another three six (6) packages from the same Amazon vendor as the first purchase. I also have Pharmacy supplied B&D pen needles of 4mm, but I prefer these 8mm for use in abdomen area, they seem to cause bruising less often. I have read many comments that the pen needles are hard to remove from their pens. I have found a technique which works for me: First do not tighten the pen needle too tight when threading them onto the pen barrel. Second when removing the outer needle cap may slips on the needle barrel, and you do not have sufficient strength to grip the outer needle cap tighter, simply open and place the protective shield, which you removed from the bottom of needle, place the protective shield inside the outer needle cap cover, as a shim, then push onto the pen needle. This shimming technique will increase the friction to be able to easily remove the used needle without the use of pliers. I use Lantus SoloStar Insulin pen needle and sometimes the used needle is threaded completely off the threads, but now has to clear the protruding rubber seal on top of the pen barrel with out slipping apart. This shimming technique works for me.

They work just as well as the big names, for a fraction of the price!

I buy when in stock and the price is right and when not I go to the Medt-Fine 31G 8 mm which is equal or better as interchangeable with the Care Touch CTPN31516.

These have been WAY cheaper than buying at CVS.I needed daily injections and these worked just as needed. I haven't encountered any issues and for the price, that is a WIN.Work as described, no issues so far and saved me tons of money.Will be buying again

I am a bad diabetic and have lost my insurance and must pay full price for everything. I'm trying to save money and wanted to try these needles. I usually use one needle several times before changing them due to the cost. You won't do that with this needle brand. It is great for those needing a cheaper alternative, but if used more than once.. expect some pain and bleeding. Also, I have noticed I am wasting insulin with these needles, which I can't afford to do. No matter how long I wait until I remove the needle, a lot of insulin comes out and is wasted. So, it's not actually helping me as I can tell my levels aren't lowering using these.
