Side Brush Motor Module for iRobot Roomba 500 600 700 800 900 I3 Series Robot Vacuum Cleaner (Replacement Motor Module + Side Brush +Screwdriver)

My roomba was not using the side brush I'm not sure what was wrong with it but I installed this one easily and it started working again. The new brush was not exactly like the oem its has this little thing on the top. If you look at the pictures the one on the top is the new one. Even though its not exactly like the oem one it works and it fits. I'm happy with the purchase.Update: I bought this on April 14 and I tend to let the vacuum lose every few weeks well not its not working well now. what its doing is it will spin once then stop then do on more rotation then stop again then spin again. I think the next time I use it, it will stop spinning completely.

This was a terrible purchase. It stopped working just 30 days after I bought it. Now it's too late to return it. What a waste of money.

In our house we have three women and three dogs. They all make a ton of hair that has to be handled. We didn't keep an eye on this side brush originally and it got bound up with hair. After replacing the motor with this one I make sure to clean out the side brush on occasion. I simply unscrew the brush from the motor and clean the hair out. This motor has been running perfectly for almost two years now.

We've had our roomba (WALL-E) for almost a year and noticed recently his little flipper was not spinning. I was skeptical to order a replacement part that wasn't IRobot branded however IRobot was completely sold out online so I had no choice. This kit is definitely worth a buy. I am not mechanically inclined at all but it was an easy switch and the included screwdriver is very helpful. This part is working as good as new and I will continue to buy from this seller in the future!

It's a good thing the iRobot has modulated parts. We have three cats and an Australian shepherd dog. The pet hair is outrageous, and the brushes get overwhelmed. I rate this 3.5 to 4 stars because it's plug and play and I had zero problems with this seller or the pricing, but the motor on the replacement is not as strong as the original. Likely, I shall need to replace the replacement sooner than the original. But it's good to know that the overall machine is so easily serviced.

Easy to install and perfect fit

This is the second one of these side brush motors that I have purchased from this seller. The first one lasted over a year and a half possibly longer.Unfortunately, this one only lasted 3 months. It would appear that the quality has dropped off since my original first purchase.The positives are fast shipping and a fair price. The ease of replacement has nothing to do with the seller, it is simply a product of a better design by iRobot.

Do not buy this product. A few things to note - the screw is a different width than the screw that comes with the Roomba so this screw won't fit into any comparable Roomba brushes. So if down the line you ever need to (or want to) replace the 3 prong brush you are basically SOL because this screw is too big to fit. You would need to buy brushes specifically from this company which brings me to the main complaint I have - the thing is useless. The brush doesn't spin after installed so the Roomba can now not clean any edges. You would be just as well off duct taping the brush to the bottom of the Roomba. It's one thing to manufacture this product so that it doesn't work with any other companies accessories, but to then not even work out of the box? What a load of garbage.Edit: if you loosen the screw the brush will spin. Updating to 3 stars because it does work but the proprietary screw size still makes this a frustrating product for future replacement of the brush.
