Actual measured dimensions. Great for LEGO instructions!
- pocket measures 5 9/16" by 8 9/16"- overall size is 6 3/16" by 8 3/4"- seven holes are centered 1 5/8", 2 5/8", 3 5/8", 4 3/8", 5 1/8", 6 1/8, and 7 1/8" from the BOTTOM of the protector sheet- no claimed thickness on packaging, but feels very sturdy- can write on white area (between holes) with a Sharpie permanent marker- very clear- accompanying label says "made in China"Overall, an excellent product, and it is perfect for the common LEGO Company instructions that are a bit less than 5" by 8"! I bought the Avery Durable Binder for 5.5 x 8.5 Inch Pages, 2-Inch Round Ring, Black, 1 Binder (27554) and used these protector sheets to organize 17 LEGO instruction booklets for my 6 and 10 year old LEGO fanatics. There are more to come... I estimate that we'll fit about 25 total in this binder. For other LEGO booklet sizes, I have standard 3-ring binders with 3.5x5, 4x6, and 8.5x11 size photo pages.UPDATE 6/8/2016A kind customer comment prompted me to provide a minor update: I continue to be very pleased with this product four and a half years after my original review. Our first binder has been filled with 30 LEGO instructions, so a few months ago I bought more of these sheet protectors (25-pack, this time) and started a new binder. The previous sheet protectors have held up very well. Some of the instructions come in two booklets which I often put together in one page, and that makes for a pretty heavy page. Regardless, none of the protectors have failed in any way. However, note that they don't get used every day and my kids (now 10 and 15) may be less rough on their things than "the average kid."

perfect for recipes
I put all my recipes in a 5X7 folder so it can get passed down. That way my kids can always make what they got when they were at home. Easy to take out of the folder while making the dish and then right back in when finished. Safe and will last many years. Good product.

Always Great
I uses these for a recipe book I put together and use just about every day. They fit perfect in a mini-binder and I have yet to have any issues. I bought this so I can put two recipes on a standard sheet of paper and then cut that paper in half. It does tend to be a very tight fit so I've started cutting a sliver off each page to make sure it is easy to slide down into the page.

Great for postage stamps
I'm an active snail mailer and use these page protectors, in my compatible Avery binder, to store my dozens and dozens of postal stamps; trying to remember what denominations and designs I already had was becoming annoying, so his way I'm protecting the stamps and saving myself time. Obviously a real philatelist wouldn't dream of using a system so crude, but for just a quick perusal, the page protectors turned out to be of much higher quality than I was anticipating (compared to the inelegant vinyl binder ordered at the same time). It's an absolute ideal system and the price, on my day of purchase, was rock bottom. The pages aren't too stiff or wrinkly and with 7 holes, it's likely they'll work with other brands' binders beyond Avery. They're perfectly clear, they're nicely thick but allow for easy page turning, and I've yet to experience any rips or tears. They don't curl on the ends either. Understand the size Imitations and just exactly what fits, and I don't think you'll be too disappointed.Leaving poor reviews for these pages protectors (which include accurately stated dimensions) just because they don't happen to properly fit your intended use ...is kinda unfair. I just love these things and they do exactly what they're supposed to do. They fit several sheets of paper, but for my purposes, I was more ticked to discover that very thin sheets don't fall out if the binder is turned upside down. (Something I cannot say for Avery's 'business cards' 5.5x8.5 clear insert pages).A very pleased customer indeed.

Great Playbill holders
I had been looking for playbill holders for a few years. Every time I looked they were so expensive that I would just give up and continue to store my playbills in a box with a growing collection. I ran across these while doing another search for playbill holders on Amazon. After reading the reviews and seeing the prices, I decided to give them a try. I'm so glad that I did. They work beautifully and are clear enough that I can easily see the full picture of the front of the playbill. Now my playbills are organized by year and sit nicely on a book shelf. Thank you Avery for making a great, inexpensive alternative to the pricy playbill organizers.

like you folded an 8-1/2x11 sheet of paper in half)
These are just half size sheet protectors (I think this is often called "Statement" size, like you folded an 8-1/2x11 sheet of paper in half). I use them to store instruction manuals in my workshop, keeps them clean and easily accessible. The sheet protectors are heavy enough to stand up to moderate abuse, but you wouldn't want to handle them every day. Overall, pretty much what I expected. Thanks for reading!Update: Since a lot of folks were asking about the hole spacing, I added a photo below. There a seven holes; a center hole and three pairs. The pairs are at 3/4 inches on either side of center, 1-3/4 on either side, and 2-3/4 on either side.

FANTASTIC for Theatre Playbills/Programs!
WONDERFUL! We were at a Broadway show recently and I was handed another Playbill as we sat down. Being fortunate to have seen many shows I have a pile of Playbills at home. I then saw an ad inside from a company that sells binders and inserts especially for theater inserts... but they wanted well over $20 EACH.I quickly launched my Amazon app IN THE THEATER and found these sheet protectors of the same size and binders to go with them and HALF the price and quickly ordered two. They arrived yesterday and while not done yet, the Playbills slip right into these sleeves perfectly. I'll finally have them organized and protected.
