Durable, uncomplicated small alarm clock
Westclox Celebrity Glo-CloxI love this little alarm clock. I'm not sure why they have it labeled as a kitchen clock. It's the perfect size for a travel, alarm clock. Since it's battery operated, I can move it around freely and don't have to keep it close to an outlet to plug it in. I even bring it in my bed with me. It doesn't fold up for travel, but it tucks into a suitcase or bag nicely. I think it's more durable because it doesn't fold up. I've had a couple folding travel ones that had parts break off in the past. This one uses regular AAA batteries, usually always have some of those around. I don't like to mess with having to find a specific type of those little button batteries. Plus the AAA's I use are rechargeable. I'm still on my first set. The white color makes it show up well, so it's pretty easy to find when it gets mixed up with the blankets and pillows. It's a basic uncomplicated design. Easy to change the alarm settings if you don't get up at the same time every day. I have some that are too complicated to mess with changing them all the time. Snooze alarm works good. It only lights up when you push the button, so not good as a night light. I looked around locally at several stores and could not find a comparable one. I've only had this one a few months so far, but I've had a similar Westclox one that lasted many years. I hope this one does too.

My favorite alarm clock
I had this alarm clock for years, and it never stopped working. It actually went missing when I lost a bag during a flight in 2017. So when I needed to get another alarm clock (let's be honest, as useful as phone alarms are, they just aren't the same), I scoured Amazon until I found someone selling this exact model. And I couldn't be happier! It's incredibly straight forward and easy to use, the numbers are big and clear, and the snooze/light button perfectly illuminates the time without being too jarring to tired eyes. I honestly have no complaints about this alarm clock, it's lightweight and easy to use, and I hope they never stop making it. It takes two AAA batteries that don't come included, but it's not a big deal to me for this price. The batteries last a long time.I think the thing I like the most (and some people may dislike) is that when the alarm goes off, the snooze button will continue to snooze the alarm as many times as you want to, making it so you can't accidentally turn the alarm off in your sleep and wake up late for work (a problem I often have relying on my phone to wake me up). With this clock, you have to flick the alarm off with the switch to make it stop. I can see this being an issue if you forget to turn it back on again, but I find it easy to flick the switch off and on when I turn the alarm off. I much prefer that than my phone alarm, which will stop going off after I've pressed snooze a couple times. If you're like me in that you're not a morning person and have trouble waking up, and need something portable and persistent that won't let you down, then this little alarm clock is perfect for you too.

A little expensive for what it is
This is a good, functional alarm clock. I wanted something cheap that would wake me up at a certain time and let me check the time during the day, and this did it. However, given that this is clearly a budget-first product, I think $11 is a little expensive - $5, maybe $6, would have made it a 5-star product. The description doesn't make this clear, but the display only lights up while you're holding down snooze. I like it this way - it's still legible during the day, there's nothing to wake me up during the night, the battery lasts a lot longer, and it isn't hard to find the snooze button in the dark. But if you want to be able to tell the time at night without moving, this isn't the clock for you. Some gripes that I can ignore given the price:- 3-way switch is difficult to position in the middle, especially in the dark, yet they put the most common setting - default, not editing any time - in the middle.- No minus-button means setting an alarm a few minutes or hours earlier takes a while- drifts by maybe a minute per month

Great clock
I purchased this exact clock 30 years ago and it finally died last week. I was so bummed! But after searching, I found it again! The light only shines when you hold down the bar. The alarm isn't obnoxious but wakes me without problem. It runs on batteries that last forever...but the best part is the size. Nice and compact. I'd recommend!

love it but does not last
I use this as a bedside alarm clock AND a night light. Nice, bright backlight when you ask for it. Also, easy to set, even when very sleepy. I have had many of these because they only last half a year - then one of the functions like light or alarm, breaks down. Cheap enough - I get another. I lke that I don't have to learn a new set of controls. Keeps time well.
