Trail cams are hit or miss and of the many I have tried, this is by far the best. It’s the one I chose when I first started using a trail cam after returning 2 contenders for not functioning properly and it’s the one I am keeping after having to replace that first one. My only complaint is that it only lasted 1.5 years.Now to the good. You can program what you want and this cam does it. I am watching wildlife on my property, I’m not a hunter who just wants to see if anything comes by. My video recordings are set to 30s and this camera runs all 30 of them and smoothly. Of the 5 cameras I returned this time around, 4 did not record more than a few seconds and one delivered a choppy video on top of it (all cameras were capable of good resolution and correctly programmed). The picture quality of this one is great and the illuminated area large. All other cameras have a smaller illuminated area, which means you get a video with dark areas all around the center and see less. The sound recording is also appropriate- background noise is low and you can hear an animal walking by. That also is not a given for every camera. I do not believe there’s a better option to be found and if so, I haven’t discovered it yet. I am returning a camera twice the price of this one because it doesn’t produce videos as good. The picture I included is a screenshot of a video.Last but not least, I use the basic model. I don’t need WiFi access and don’t want to pay to transfer footage that way. You need to get your own SIM card, which they should include like other brands, plus a card reader for your phone or computer and you are all set.

I got two of these on sale for $40 a piece. I thought that was a pretty good deal after I had spent weeks looking at reviews for other trail cams. I chose to get the cameras that had the SD card option but not the wifi/live view cameras because where I intended to put them was not close to wifi.I read the instructions that came with the cameras and they were easy to set up. I like that there were a lot of options/features that I could control.Since putting up the cameras, they have withstood several wind & rainstorms with zero problems. We have several great videos & photos of the deer on our property. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a solid budget trail cam!

GardeoPro E5S Trail Camera - Cameras are great. Be using them for about 2 years. Nice clear Pictures and video daytime or night. Have them all around our property. Sometimes when the sun shines right into the lens will set it off. The double latch keeps the water out. Easy set up. Costumer support is e-mail only (in China) Highly recommend

EDIT: I bought a second one of this same model to monitor my driveway. It works fine and is easy to set-up when I depart and fast to check and erase when I come home. Frankly, there are so many game camera varieties to choose from, I have no idea if this one is the best or state-of-the-art. It really doesn't matter as it is affordable and does the job just fine. I am not a hunter or technology buff so good enough is good enough. Main Review: I dislike exotic features and complications. A basic flip phone and simple tablet are my only devices. My TV is just a DVD/BR player model with no wireless connections, streaming, or cable. So, when I needed a no frills security device to monitor my door while I was away, I thought of a self-contained game camera. This one had good instructions, the ability to take still photos, and didn't require a connection to a smartphone. I didn't need any capabilities except quick turn-on at departure, and fast photo check and easy erase when I got home from work. Initial set-up up was smooth even for a technology avoider like me. I will add edits as I get experience with the camera about durability, battery life, etc.

Crystal clear pics and videos, great battery life, motion detection way out there. I have been running it solely on 20 second videos, blown away with the sound detection too, you can hear everything. I would definitely recommend this unit!

When the humidity is high all of the plastic covers attract moisture like no other camera I've used. All the pix taken from 1a to about 7a are blurry and pretty much not much details.

The media could not be loaded. This is in my daughters name but I'm her mom & I bought the GardePro E5S back in April 2024...& waited to see how it does...well it's September now & so far I love it. Everything about it!!! I could only upload 1 video which is ashame because the daylight videos are nice also & I would have posted one of each.The price was great & I own 4 other high priced cameras... 2 of which are good but 2 others don't even compare to the videos I get from this GardePro. I only have my cameras set on video...30 sec videos...I do use alot of batteries but this cam is going 24/7I am not a hunter & I only use my trail cameras for my pleasure...to see whats hanging around in my backyard...the sound is very good...I love that it's total no glow...It was easy to set up...easy to use...lights a big area in the dark...I know I'll probably forget to mention other things but let me say again..I really like the camera...I bought the GardePro A3S in May...so that camera will also get a great review from me...I honestly won't purchase anymore name brand cameras for the great quality I have seen on the GardePros...I purchased another GardePro 3 years ago & it's still doing good except the sound went out...hope you enjoy my momma bear vid with her 3 cubs...
