Cute in Every Language
This book is so cute. The mother and daughter interaction is endearing and Yuki's anxiety of meeting new people is extremely relatable. The connections she makes with her family and new friends makes me smile. This perfect for a little reader who is bilingual English-Japanese.Also, there is a "My First Trip to Korea" which is English-Korean. The book is the same, but the character's names, location, how she says hello, and of course, the bilingual lettering system, is different.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This title makes people misunderstand that it is about Japan. But NO!
This title makes people misunderstand that it is about Japan.Be careful, and it's nothing about Japan.I bought this book because I wanted my daughter (half Japanese and half American) to know about Japan since I will stay in Japan with her this summer vacation. From the title, I thought the book would be about Japanese culture. I also thought it would suit my daughter, who is studying hiragana because it is written in English and hiragana. However, the book did not mention anything about Japan. I was so disappointed. And Hiragana font was also challenging to read. Not suitable for hiragana learners. Also, In one place, the Japanese translation was strange. It was as if that part was translated by someone who had not read this book. The content was also very conventional, such as a child trying something new for the first time. Please change the title.

Use of the same book and switching out languages
Just found this same exact book as a trip to Korea. The languages are just switched out and all illustrations are the same. I find this offensive.
