I truly did not even know that these were a thing but wow, what a useful thing. We were trying to hang lights out on our deck area, but there are no outlets outside. We debated battery powered, but those don’t last long and are a hassle to remember to charge. We were looking for an alternative and found this. We have an outdoor light that we don’t even really use, so we just unscrewed the bulb and screwed this in its place. It works great and we haven’t had any issues with it. Let’s us turn our lights on and off with the light switch too which is nice. It was easy to install and seems sturdy and safe. It puts off a great amount of light and allowed us to use the adapter to plug out hanging lights in.

This isn’t something I’d normally use, but it was handy for using a Klein RT390 Circuit Analyzer (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BT87LJRL) to test a light fixture. That analyzer requires a ground to perform a test, and this adapter allowed me to connect to a plug adapter and connect its grounding tab to a grounded outlet. In the process, I found that the fixture had the line and neutral reversed—arguably not the world’s greatest safety hazard, but one worth correcting; I’ve taken a jolt or two from older lamps without polarized plugs.Do note that although this adapter accepts a 3-wire plug, it does not provide a protective ground because a lamp socket has no ground to which it can connect.

Works perfectly! Needed this to put up some string lights where there is no outlet, but there is a light bulb.

Used these on my garage door opener. Regular bulbs did not light up the garage so I purchased these and screwed them into the bulb sockets and then added to LED strips and plug them in to the sockets. The strips have 8 foot cords which spread the light throughout the garage mounted to the ceiling. Now when I open my garage door it is very well lit.
