Does this timer make a noise as it counts down or just visual cues?

Visual. It's not very good. Have had one fora while and don't use it.

Can you set it so that there is no sound alarm? I'd like to use it as a speaker time limit warning for conferences.

Can have the volume low and it changes colour red at the start then to amber to say time nearly up then green when time it up. Hope that helps.

no, just minutes and there's only multiples of 5

How do you Set it as I have set mine and its doing nothing

I just have to twist the rings to what i want and press start. If thats not working i would imagine it may be faulty???
