I bought one of these many years ago and love mine. I just bought this one for a friend as a gift. She loves it! This item is of great quality. Perfect size to do quick, creative work.This board helps a person come into the present. Let the world melt away while they use it. Before you know it time has slipped by and the calm has set in. It may be perfect at the office! Definitely would have people stopping by to chill for a minute! (Just a thought)I would imagine this would be calming for kids too! Get one for yourself. Leave the world behind.

I got this for a gift exchange and a member of my own household ended up getting it - we have it out so visitors can use it, too, and it's surprisingly relaxing and fun. I always wanted one of these, so getting one for my toddler was a great excuse to finally get one. I love it because she gets to strengthen her arms and hands with the paintbrush and vertical board. No meds no clean up. She plays with it all the time I just leave it out on a table.

This is an incredible item. Want to practice Chinese brush painting strokes, calligraphy or Sumi e? Here you go. No need to roll out or use sheet after sheet of paper. Rather, just paint on this magical board and practice all you want. Wait ten minutes or so and the board is again clean and ready for more. Use more water for darker strokes, less for shades of grey. Instructions are clear and all is ready to use out of the very nice box which will serve well for storage. Water should be room temperature, greasy hands should avoid touching the board, and very other limitations. Your brushwork will not be permanent, but a quick photo can capture what was done for replication later on paper with ink. The ease of use will inspire to get out your inks eventually and use what you have learned on this, again have to say magical, board to do make your permanent art. No cleanup here to worry about. Simply dump the water out of the base tray, dry it off, dry brush a bit and shape it, put cap on brush and you are done. Family member was thrilled to receive this and instantly began using it, remarking over and over again how great it was. Highest recommendation. And you can use any soft haired, non scratching brush you own! Great for Notan evaluation also.
