Does this book shelf disassemble easily for moving?

It dissembles the same way it goes together, If you want to move it partially assembled remove 16 screws holding the center shelves and now you have two shelve units and 4 shelves (flat pieces of wood) with hardware to move, if you want to take it all apart 56 screws and 4 crossmembers is all it takes, easy to assemble and take apart (tool and extra screws included)

How does return work? Do i need to disassemble it and put them back in the box(es)?

Contact seller to see what it is the recommend. If nothing's wrong, you just decide you don't want it. They'll probably have you send back. Most of time it won't fit back in box you got it in. But they should send you a return lable.

Sending 81.8 lbs in a single box is unwieldy and chance of damage is high. Difficult to bring it in as well. No?

To be honest, I am 5ft 4in and was maybe 160 when I single-handedly hauled the box into the garage, up to the 2nd floor and into the den where I installed it. Yes, it was heavy so I "walked" it (left forward, right forward, etc.) across the floors rather than attempt to lift it. And I pushed it from the bottom up the stairs rather than attempt to pull it. 1 of the cross bars was bent. I was still able to put it together with the bend in it and decided I liked it as is and didn't want the hassle of returning.
