Run, don’t walk away from this system!
We have been struggling for three years with the System losing connection with the Kohler Konnect App. Tech support and engineering are worthless and should be fired. Despite replacing the control box, WiFi module (twice) and even setting up a dedicated WiFi Network in our home per Kohler’s request this horridly designed technology loses connection with the Kohler Konnect phone app after 3 days and you must then power cycle the equipment to get it to connect again. Avoid unless you like losing hundreds of hours to empty troubleshooting and no solutions after many years! Save your $$$ and sanity.

Got it to work, but ran into a bunch of issues
So we had to go through three of these. First one was opened box, saved a bunch, until it leaked from the inside on first pressure test. Second one was bought new directly from Amazon. After installing this one, the hot water supply cracked. Returning it, even though it was defective, cost me. As Amazon wanted me to pay for shipping with insurance. Saying they would refund the cost once they go it. They did refund me $7. But nowhere near enough to cover the issuance cost. Third one broke the same as the second. This time I call Kohler. They had a replacement piece that took about 1.5 weeks to arrive. But we were able to replace the defective piece and get the product working. Plumber cost, plus all the delays cost me more than the unit itself. But now that it's in, it was worth it.

Cool Idea But Lots of Problems
After having this system for 8 years I can say it is a cool idea however it was very unreliable. The valves get stuck closed. Just about every year since having this installed I have had to do a valve replacement once or twice a year. This is not an easy change/fix out and once it is out of warranty it can get expensive. Kohler is aware of the valve problem but apparently are unable to come up with a more permanent fix. I will say, that while it was under warranty Kohler was good to deal with. It was a costly repair to pull this system out of my shower and install traditional hand valves.

The box did not have a Kohler seal on it ...
The box did not have a Kohler seal on it. It looks as though nothing has been used but the lack of seal brings a large degree of uncertainty.

Working well for me..
Installed as part of a DTV system. Has worked flawlessly for about 8 months now. The valve is a bit noisy, sounds a little like R2D2 is stuck in the wall as it runs through valves and modulates temperature, etc.Docking one star because the design is cumbersome, requires a complex disconnect system to remove for eventual service (which is a high probability as this does mix electrical components with water). They could have made easier disconnects integral to the design- look at the picture and see the complexity with all of the various length nipples and unions. That makes for some serious complexity stuffed into a 2x4 wall, with typical 16"OC spacing. The overall DTV experience with the new touchscreen controller is a software disaster however- Kohler may be awesome with design and plumbing, but they kind of suck at software. I'm not holding that against this component though, it seems solid.
