Great buy for the money. Nice and sharp
Awesome sword!!!! Exactly as described and very sharp. A lot longer than I expected. I'm very impressed with the quality. I have no complaints. It is a very solid and definitely full tang sword. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice real sword. Very sharp out of box. I do believe you can consider this to be a 2 hand sword. I have huge hands and both of mine fit on handle. With the bottom of my second hand barely touching the pommel.

w sword
Good sword. Sharp. Straight. Sturdy. Tip can be sharper but can still do battle probably. Good for retaking Jerusalem. Christ is king. W Lord Jesus Christ.Parts of sheath kind of rubs off on sword, but that because it's sharp, who actually cares at all. Losers would care. India redeemed.

The Handle Material is not Leather Wrapped Wood
The sheath has a lot of issues, the bottom where they have affixed the metal part to secure the tip of the sword is glued on apparently and there is residue all over the sheath itself making it look unsightly and sloppy. The sheath feel like it is made of cheap plastic. The blade has some issues with straightness and symmetry. The handle is advertised as "Leather Wrapped Wood" however it is plastic, not leather and it looks and feels cheap in the hand. The blade itself does seem well crafted, and it certainly is sharp I managed to cut myself trying to dig it out of the box so there is no denying the sharpness. You can even overlook the flaws in the blade if you appreciate a battle ready hand forged sword over something machine made. The cross guard is pitted and that might be just a condition of the metal used. I truly cannot say.I wanted to say I love this blade but I will be returning it based mainly off the fact the handle material was not as advertised. I wanted something more period authentic.

Passed expectations
I ordered it on a Friday then it came on Tuesday, so it came earlier than the expected 3-5 buisness days. When I got it it was very tight, and ready for battle, it doesn't fit to well in it's scabbared so I got some leather from an old wallet to fill in the empty spaces. Anyway top the point, I had a look it is full tang (a properley done tang) it isn't a rat tang or a cheaply welded on one, it was tempered properley so it flexes then springs back to place, both edges are extremely shap as well as the point. I did the half- swording technique and the hand guard and pommel are strong, and sturdy. It's a work of art for a working man I'll enjoy for years to come

it'll be fine. it has potential
my initial thoughts were, that this is a decent longsword for its price, but after trying to feel its balance and weight, ive decided that its not a sword, it's a paddle. so, with several hours of hand filing the blade to a new profile, and re-grinding it's edge, tuning the very sharp pommel into something that hand can grab, it'll be fine. it has potential, just needs a lot of work, and if you're willing and skilled to do it yourself, it's worth the price.other than that, the steel is nice and springy, very flexible, and the crossguard is sturdy and seemingly impossible to damage. the hilt is a little on the short side, so i wouldn't quite call this a proper longsword, but more like an exaggerated arming sword with a couple longsword features. as there is no stainless, or rust protective dry coating on any of it, you'll need to either coat, or maintain the entire steel surfaces. which is historically accurate, but kind of tedious if you're going to handle it frequently.

Strong learning sword
For the price i honestly gotta say this is a very cool buy, lets start with the basic pros:Pros :1st off this is a full tang sword, not a cheap replica with a rat tail, if you are looking for something functional for around the price of one of the better quality junk wallhangers here is the sword for you,Edge is pretty well right out of the package, no complaints thereDefinately is a hand a half sword, ive got pretty big hands and still have itleast a 3" gap on the bottom of the handle my hands arent covering.Scabbard is wrapped in real leather, as is the handle of the sword.Cons:Mine came with some surface rust on the blade, nothing a bit of steel wool cant get rid of ( haha )Very springy, this is no more than a basic sword to train with.based upon other reviews including my own i have realized there are some cosmetic flaws, and ill list those below.1. My sword has a slight curve to the blade which its hardly noticeable2. rust on the blade, my sword came oiled, but managed to get some rust around the crossguard.3. Sword isnt placed center with the crossguard, most likely the tang isnt center with the bladeClosing remarks:To get someone into the art of swordplay this is a pretty good start, for the price it cant be beat, something to enjoy for years to comeUpdate July 1st 2020, over a couple years since I bought the sword and using it everyday the cheap leather grip has began to flake and peel. I had also bent the blade in a way that im unable to bed it back or have a blacksmith reheat and try to flatten it out. Overall the couple years I have used/serviced this sword it has done its job extremely well and am considering buying a new one just so I can hang the old one on my wall.
